O master, who has clothed himself in noble deeds

and worn Capella and Pherkad as sandals,

why do you not act as befits

a friendship that has endured so long?

If you are absent, I am not sought; yet here is Solomon,

son of David, the prophet of guidance:

he checked on the birds despite his preoccupations,

then said, “Why do I not see the hoopoe?”
