وقالوا افترشتَ النطعَ وقد أتى ال

خريفُ فَمُرْ في نطعِكَ الآن بالرفعِ

خريفُ فَمُرْ في نطعِكَ الآن بالرفعِ

And they said, “You have spread out the leather mat, though now has come the

They said, "You have spread your cloak though autumn has come;

autumn; so order your mat to be taken up now.”

Pass now in your cloak by the high places."

فقلتُ حبيبي شاهرٌ سيفَ طرفِهِ

ولا بدَّ للسيفِ الشهيرِ من النَّطْعِ

ولا بدَّ للسيفِ الشهيرِ من النَّطْعِ

So I said, “My beloved brandishes the sword of his gaze,

I replied, "My love brandishes a sword whose glance

and an unsheathed sword cannot do without an execution mat.”

Leaves the famous sword no choice but to shear."
