حُلِيّornaments الملوكthe kings وتيجانُهاand their crowns
حُلِيّ الملوك وتيجانُها
وبيتُand the house المعاليlofty honors وايوانُهاand their hall
وبيتُ المعالي وايوانُها
The ornaments of kings and their crowns,
The crowns of kings and their diadems,
and the house of lofty honors and their hall,
The houses of grandeur and their porticos,
وبأسand the valor الكُماةthe champions وإقدامهاand their daring
وبأس الكُماة وإقدامها
وحُلمand the forbearance الكفاةthe capable men وإحسانهاand their beneficence
وحُلم الكفاة وإحسانها
and the valor of champions and their daring,
The valor of warriors and their bravery,
and the forbearance of capable men and their beneficence—
The wisdom of sages and their kindness,
توارثنهاinherited them in succession الأزدُthe Azd حتىuntil انتهتfinally passed
توارثنها الأزدُ حتى انتهت
إلىto أنthat حوىpossessed الإِرثَthe inheritance نَبهانُهاtheir Nabhan
إلى أن حوى الإِرثَ نَبهانُها
the Azd inherited them in succession, until they passed
Were inherited by Azd until they ended up
to their Nabhan, who possessed the inheritance:
With Nabhan who embraced their legacy,
أميرprince العتيكal-Atik تسامىrose high بهthrough him
أمير العتيك تسامى به
كهُولmature men العَتيكal-Atik وشبَّانهاand its young men
كهُول العَتيك وشبَّانها
the prince of al-Atik, through whom rose high
The chief of Atiq rose high with it
the mature men of al-Atik and its young men.
As well as the elders and youth of Atiq,
أنبهانO Nabhan إِنكindeed you منof عصبةٍa clan
أنبهان إِنك من عصبةٍ
نماهاraised it إلىto المجدglory قحطانُهاits Qahtan
نماها إلى المجد قحطانُها
O Nabhan, you are indeed of a clan
O Nabhan you are from a tribe
whose Qahtan raised it to glory.
That glory nurtured, Qahtan's progeny,
همُthey العينthe eye فيamong يعربYa'rub كلّهاall of it
همُ العين في يعرب كلّها
وأنتand you منof العَينthe eye إنسانهاits pupil
وأنت من العَين إنسانها
They are the eye of all Ya'rub,
You care for all the Arabs
and you are the pupil of that eye.
And you are the most noble of them,
إذاwhen طلبتare sought مكرماتnoble deeds العُلىlofty glory
إذا طلبت مكرمات العُلى
بداappears فيon جبينكyour brow عُنوانهاtheir sign
بدا في جبينك عُنوانها
When the noble deeds of lofty glory are sought,
If you seek the honors of sublime ranks
their sign appears upon your brow.
It shows on your forehead their signs,
وأنتand you إذاwhenever صَعبتproves difficult حاجةٌa need
وأنت إذا صَعبت حاجةٌ
أتىcomes منfrom بيمينكthrough your right hand إمكانُهاits fulfillment
أتى من بيمينك إمكانُها
And as for you, whenever a need proves difficult,
And when a difficult need arises
its fulfillment comes from your right hand.
Its means comes from your right hand,
فعشتso may you live وبُلّغتَand may you be granted منas سيّدٍa lord
فعشت وبُلّغتَ من سيّدٍ
مناكَyour wishes وسرَّكَand may it delight you لُقيانهاtheir attainment
مناكَ وسرَّكَ لُقيانها
So may you live and, lord that you are, be granted
So you lived and conveyed from a master
your wishes, and may their attainment delight you.
Who destined you, met and knew you,
ولاand never زالcease يغدوكvisit you each morning فيin نعمةٍwell-being
ولا زال يغدوك في نعمةٍ
شبابyouth الحيَاةlife ورَيعانُهاand its prime
شباب الحيَاة ورَيعانُها
And may you always be visited each morning, in well-being,
He still comes to you in bounty
by life's youth and its prime.
