وازْداد شوقُ المُستهام فَبَرَّحا
The reproaching women sobered, but the love-stricken man did not.
The lovelorn have woken though love caused them no waking,
And the distraught lover's longing increased, tormenting him severely.
And longing in the love-smitten is increased, so they wander free.

Love's secrets then appeared, and multiplied,
Bands of women's litters, like ships rushing headlong.
The skinny camels, like ships, kneel en masse.

Fair, pampered maidens, radiant as crescent moons.
Young Gazelles deposited, shining bright.

Sweeter than sweetest nectar and salt.
