    تَأكِيدُهَا بِغَيرِ رَيبٍ مَا نُسِي

    Witr is a Sunnah according to Ibn Yunus;

    its emphatic status, beyond doubt, has not been forgotten.

    Sahnun holds that impugning one's probity is warranted

    for one who omits it; according to Asbagh, he should be disciplined.

    From Isha until the breaking of dawn,

    its preferred time extends between those two.

    As for the necessity period, it extends from dawn until

    the dawn prayer; and before Isha, it is invalid.

    And after the dawn prayer, according to Malik, the ruling remains:

    no making it up; and Witr comes after twilight.
