يَا مُرسِلَ الزَّرعِ إلى السَّالِمَه

يَا مُرسِلَ الزَّرعِ إلى السَّالِمَه

ظَلَمتَ لَم تَكُن هِىَّ الظَّالِمَه

ظَلَمتَ لَم تَكُن هِىَّ الظَّالِمَه

O sender of grain to al-Sālimah,

O Sender of crops to salvation

You have done wrong; she was not the wrongdoer.

You have done no wrong, you are not unjust

فَلاَ تَقُل في بُطئِهِ فِيمَ ذَا

فَلاَ تَقُل في بُطئِهِ فِيمَ ذَا

وَلاَ تَقُل في نَقصِهِ ذَا لِمَه

وَلاَ تَقُل في نَقصِهِ ذَا لِمَه

So do not say of its delay, “Why this?”

So do not ask why it's late

And do not say of its shortfall, “Why this?”

Or why it's lacking, why, what for
