أقرَن إِلى سَنَنِ الرِّكابِ وأُجنَبِ
And I am a man who, if they seize me by force,
And I am a man, if they take me by force
will be bound to the line of riding camels and led alongside them.
I will yield to the ways of the riders and refrain
ويكونُand will be مركبُكِyour mount القَعودَthe young male camel وحدجَهُand its saddle
ويكونُ مركبُكِ القَعودَ وحدجَهُ
وابنُand the son of النعامةِthe ostrich يومَon the day of ذلكَthat مَركَبيmy mount
وابنُ النعامةِ يومَ ذلكَ مَركَبي
And your mount will be the young male camel and its saddle,
And your ship will be sitting still and anchored
and the ostrich’s son—my own feet—will be my mount that day.
And the ostrich's chick will be my mount that day
