تُؤَرِّقُنيshe keeps me sleepless وَقَدthough already أَمسَتshe has become بَعيداًfar away
تُؤَرِّقُني وَقَد أَمسَت بَعيداً
وِأَصحابِيand my companions بَعيهمat ʿAyham أوor تَبالةTabalah
وِأَصحابِي بَعيهم أو تَبالة
She keeps me sleepless, though she is now far away,
Far away you are, yet still you keep me awake
and my companions are at ʿAyham or Tabalah.
While my friends care little or are indifferent
