لَقَد زانَ البِلادَ وَمَن عَلَيها

لَقَد زانَ البِلادَ وَمَن عَلَيها

إِمامُ المُسلِمينَ أَبو حَنيفَه

إِمامُ المُسلِمينَ أَبو حَنيفَه

Indeed, the lands and those upon them have been adorned by

The leader of Muslims, Abu Hanifa

the imam of the Muslims, Abu Hanifa,

Has adorned the country and those who live in it

بِأَحكامٍ وَآثارٍ وَفِقهٍ

بِأَحكامٍ وَآثارٍ وَفِقهٍ

كَآياتِ الزَبورِ عَلى الصَحيفَه

كَآياتِ الزَبورِ عَلى الصَحيفَه

with rulings, transmitted traditions, and jurisprudence,

With rulings, traditions, and jurisprudence

like the verses of the Psalms upon the page.

Like verses on a scripture's page

فَما بِالمَشرِقَينِ لَهُ نَظيرٌ

فَما بِالمَشرِقَينِ لَهُ نَظيرٌ

وَلا بِالمَغرِبَينِ وَلا بِكوفَه

وَلا بِالمَغرِبَينِ وَلا بِكوفَه

For in the two Easts he has no equal,

None in the East or West can match him

nor in the two Wests, nor in Kufa.

Not in Kufa nor the lands of sunset

فَرَحمَةُ رَبِّنا أَبَداً عَلَيهِ

فَرَحمَةُ رَبِّنا أَبَداً عَلَيهِ

مَدى الأَيّامِ ما قُرِأَت صَحيفَه

مَدى الأَيّامِ ما قُرِأَت صَحيفَه

So may our Lord’s mercy be upon him forever,

So may our Lord's mercy be upon him

throughout the days, as long as a page is read.

For all time, as long as scriptures are read
