إِنَّindeed الفَقيهَthe jurist هُوَhe الفَقيهُthe jurist بِفِعلِهِby his deeds
إِنَّ الفَقيهَ هُوَ الفَقيهُ بِفِعلِهِ
لَيسَis not الفَقيهُthe jurist بِنُطقِهِby his speech وَمَقالِهِand his words
لَيسَ الفَقيهُ بِنُطقِهِ وَمَقالِهِ
Indeed, a jurist is truly a jurist by his deeds.
The wise man is wise through his deeds,
It is not his speech and words that make him a jurist.
Not through his words and speech.
وَكَذاand likewise الرَئيسُthe leader هُوَhe الرَئيسُthe leader بِخُلقِهِby his character
وَكَذا الرَئيسُ هُوَ الرَئيسُ بِخُلقِهِ
لَيسَis not الرَئيسُthe leader بِقَومِهِby his people وَرِجالِهِand his men
لَيسَ الرَئيسُ بِقَومِهِ وَرِجالِهِ
And likewise, a leader is truly a leader by his character.
Likewise the leader is the leader through his character,
It is not his people and his men that make him a leader.
Not through his people and men.
وَكَذاand likewise الغَنِيُthe rich man هُوَhe الغَنِيُthe rich man بِحالِهِby his state of being
وَكَذا الغَنِيُ هُوَ الغَنِيُ بِحالِهِ
لَيسَis not الغَنيُّthe rich man بِمُلكِهِby his possessions وَبِمالِهِand by his wealth
لَيسَ الغَنيُّ بِمُلكِهِ وَبِمالِهِ
And likewise, a rich man is truly rich by his state of being.
And so is the rich man rich through his state,
It is not his possessions and his wealth that make him rich.
Not through his possessions and wealth.
