أَخي لَن تَنالَ العِلمَ إِلّا بِسِتَّةٍ

أَخي لَن تَنالَ العِلمَ إِلّا بِسِتَّةٍ

سَأُنبيكَ عَن تَفصيلِها بِبَيانِ

سَأُنبيكَ عَن تَفصيلِها بِبَيانِ

My brother, you will not attain knowledge except with six things.

I will tell you their details clearly:

ذَكاءٌ وَحِرصٌ وَاِجتِهادٌ وَبُلغَةٌ

ذَكاءٌ وَحِرصٌ وَاِجتِهادٌ وَبُلغَةٌ

وَصُحبَةُ أُستاذٍ وَطولُ زَمانِ

وَصُحبَةُ أُستاذٍ وَطولُ زَمانِ

Intelligence, eagerness, diligence, and sufficient sustenance,

And the company of a teacher, and a long span of time.
