ياO مَنone who يُعانِقُembraces دُنياa world لاno بَقاءَpermanence لَهاfor it
يُمسيpasses the evening وَيُصبِحُand passes the morning فيin دُنياهُhis world سَفّاراa frequent traveler
O one who embraces a world that will not last,
who passes evening and morning in his world, ever a traveler:
هَلّاwhy not تَرَكتَyou gave up لِذيof this الدُنياworld مُعانَقَةًembracing
حَتّىso that تُعانِقَyou may embrace فيin الفِردَوسِParadise أَبكاراvirgin maidens
Why not give up embracing this world,
so that you may embrace virgin maidens in Paradise?
إِنif كُنتَyou are تَبغيyou seek جِنانَgardens الخُلدِeternity تَسكُنُهاyou dwell in them
فَيَنبَغيthen it is fitting لَكَfor you أَنto لاnot تَأمَنَfeel safe from الناراthe Fire
If you seek to dwell in the gardens of eternity,
then you ought not feel safe from the Fire.
