سَأَصبِرُI shall endure patiently لِلحِمامِin the face of death وَقَدand already أَتانيit has come to me
سَأَصبِرُ لِلحِمامِ وَقَد أَتاني
وَإِلّاand if not فَهُوَthen it آتٍcoming بَعدَafter حينِa while
وَإِلّا فَهُوَ آتٍ بَعدَ حينِ
I shall face death patiently, and it has already come to me.
I will wait for the dove though he is late
And if not, it will come after a while.
Yet he comes in a while, have faith
وَإِنand if أَسلَمI survive يَمُتwill die قَبليbefore me حَبيبٌa loved one
وَإِن أَسلَم يَمُت قَبلي حَبيبٌ
وَمَوتُand the death of أَحِبَّتيmy loved ones قَبليbefore me يَسوِنيgrieves me
وَمَوتُ أَحِبَّتي قَبلي يَسوِني
And if I survive, a loved one will die before me.
And if a loved one dies before me
And the death of my loved ones before me grieves me.
The death of loved ones before me gives me peace
