A scholar and a Sufi - do not be just one

For by God I sincerely advise you

وهذاand this one جَهولٌdeeply ignorant، كَيفَhow ذوone possessing الجَهلِignorance يَصلُحُbe upright؟
وهذا جَهولٌ، كَيفَ ذو الجَهلِ يَصلُحُ؟
For the former is hard-hearted; his heart has not tasted piety.
The former is harsh, his heart untouched by piety
And the latter is deeply ignorant; how can one who is ignorant be upright?
The latter ignorant, how can one so ignorant be fit?
