عُفّوا تَعُفُّ نِساؤُكُم في المَحرَمِ

عُفّوا تَعُفُّ نِساؤُكُم في المَحرَمِ

وَتَجَنَّبوا ما لا يَليقُ بِمُسلِمِ

وَتَجَنَّبوا ما لا يَليقُ بِمُسلِمِ

Be chaste, and your women will abstain from what is forbidden.

Forgive, let your women be chaste in the sacred month

And avoid what is not fitting for a Muslim.

And avoid what does not befit a Muslim

إِنَّ الزِنا دَينٌ فَإِن أَقرَضتَهُ

إِنَّ الزِنا دَينٌ فَإِن أَقرَضتَهُ

كانَ الوَفا مِن أَهلِ بَيتِكَ فَاِعلَمِ

كانَ الوَفا مِن أَهلِ بَيتِكَ فَاِعلَمِ

Indeed, adultery is a debt; so if you lend it,

Indeed adultery is a debt, so if you lend it

Its repayment will come from your household—so know this.

Betrayal will come from your own household, know that

يا هاتِكاً حُرَمَ الرِجالِ وَقاطِعاً

يا هاتِكاً حُرَمَ الرِجالِ وَقاطِعاً

سُبُلَ المَوَدَّةِ عِشتَ غَيرَ مُكَرَّمِ

سُبُلَ المَوَدَّةِ عِشتَ غَيرَ مُكَرَّمِ

O you who dishonor men's womenfolk and sever

O you who violate men's sanctity and cut off

The paths of affection, may you live without honor.

The paths of affection, you live without dignity

لَو كُنتَ حُرّاً مِن سُلالَةِ ماجِدٍ

لَو كُنتَ حُرّاً مِن سُلالَةِ ماجِدٍ

ما كُنتَ هَتّاكاً لِحُرمَةِ مُسلِمِ

ما كُنتَ هَتّاكاً لِحُرمَةِ مُسلِمِ

Were you freeborn, descended from a noble man,

If you were a free man, from the progeny of the glorious

You would not be a habitual violator of a Muslim's sanctity.

You would not violate the sanctity of a Muslim

مَن يَزنِ يُزنَ بِهِ وَلَو بِجِدارِهِ

مَن يَزنِ يُزنَ بِهِ وَلَو بِجِدارِهِ

إِن كُنتَ يا هَذا لَبيباً فَاِفهَمِ

إِن كُنتَ يا هَذا لَبيباً فَاِفهَمِ

Whoever commits adultery will suffer it in return, even at his own wall.

Whoever commits adultery, it will be done unto them, even through their wall

If you are discerning, O you there, then understand.

If you are wise, O you, understand this
