أفي رسمِ دارٍ إذ وقفَت به قفِر
جَرىflowed لكfor you دمعٌtears كالجُمانِlike pearls منfrom القَصرِthe necks
جَرى لك دمعٌ كالجُمانِ من القَصرِ
Was it at the desolate traces of an abode, when you stood there,
When you paused before a home in ruins
that your tears flowed like pearls from necks?
A tear flowed like a torrent from the palace
