إمامُ الهُدى قلّ لي متى أنتَ آيبٌ

إمامُ الهُدى قلّ لي متى أنتَ آيبٌ

فمُنَّ علينا يا إمامُ بِرَجْعةِ

فمُنَّ علينا يا إمامُ بِرَجْعةِ

O Imam of guidance, tell me: when will you return?

O Imam of Guidance, tell me when will you come

So favor us, O Imam, with a return.

So grant us, O Imam, with your return

مَلَلنا وطالَ الانتظار فَجُدْ لنا

مَلَلنا وطالَ الانتظار فَجُدْ لنا

بحقِّكِ يا قطبَ الوجودِ بِزَوْرةِ

بحقِّكِ يا قطبَ الوجودِ بِزَوْرةِ

We have grown weary, and the wait has grown long; be generous to us,

We are bored and waiting has been long, so hurry to us

By your right, O axis of existence, with a visit.

By your right, O Pole of Existence, with a visit

فأنت لهذا الأمرِ قِدما مُعيَّنٌ

فأنت لهذا الأمرِ قِدما مُعيَّنٌ

كذلك قال اللهُ أنتَ خَليفتي

كذلك قال اللهُ أنتَ خَليفتي

For you were appointed to this task long ago.

For you are for this matter, previously appointed

Thus God said: “You are My vicegerent.”

So said Allah, you are my caliph
