صحَّ قولي بالإمامة

صحَّ قولي بالإمامة

وتعجّلتُ السَلامَهْ

وتعجّلتُ السَلامَهْ

My declaration concerning the Imamate proved sound,

My words affirm the Imamate

and I swiftly attained deliverance.

And I hastened to greet him

وأزالَ اللهُ عنّي

وأزالَ اللهُ عنّي

إذ تَجعفَرتُ المَلامَهْ

إذ تَجعفَرتُ المَلامَهْ

And God removed from me—

God has removed from me

when I became a follower of Ja'far—blame.

Since I followed Ja'far's teachings

قلتُ من بعد حُسينٍ

قلتُ من بعد حُسينٍ

بعليِّ ذي العَلامَهْ

بعليِّ ذي العَلامَهْ

I professed belief, after Husayn,

After Hussein, I said

in Ali, bearer of the mark.

Ali is the sign

أصبحَ السّجَّادُ للإ

أصبحَ السّجَّادُ للإ

سلامِ والدينِ دِعامَهْ

سلامِ والدينِ دِعامَهْ

Al-Sajjad became, for Islam

Sajjad has become the pillar

and the faith, a pillar.

Of Islam and the faith

قد أراني اللهُ أمراً

قد أراني اللهُ أمراً

أسألُ اللهَ تَمامَهْ

أسألُ اللهَ تَمامَهْ

God has indeed shown me a matter;

God has shown me a matter

I ask God for its completion,

I ask God for its completion

كي ألاقيهِ به في

كي ألاقيهِ به في

وقتِ أهوالِ القِيامَهْ

وقتِ أهوالِ القِيامَهْ

so that I may meet Him with it at

So I may meet Him through it

the time of the terrors of the Resurrection.
