إنّي لأكره أن أُطيلَ بمجلسٍ

إنّي لأكره أن أُطيلَ بمجلسٍ

لا ذكرَ فيه لفضلِ آلِ محمدِ

لا ذكرَ فيه لفضلِ آلِ محمدِ

I truly dislike lingering at a gathering

I despise sitting long in an assembly

Where the excellence of Muhammad's family goes unmentioned,

Where there is no mention of Muhammad’s virtuous family,

لا ذكرَ فيه لأحمدٍ ووصيٍّه

لا ذكرَ فيه لأحمدٍ ووصيٍّه

وبَنيه ذلك مجلسٌ نَطِفٌ ردي

وبَنيه ذلك مجلسٌ نَطِفٌ ردي

With no mention of Ahmad and his appointed successor,

No mention of Ahmad or his successor

And his sons—such a gathering is foul and vile.

Or his sons—such an assembly is unprofitable.

إنّ الذي يَنساهمُ في مجلسٍ

إنّ الذي يَنساهمُ في مجلسٍ

حتى يفارقَهُ لغيرُ مُسَدَّدِ

حتى يفارقَهُ لغيرُ مُسَدَّدِ

Indeed, whoever forgets them in a gathering

He who forgets them in an assembly

Until he leaves it is surely not rightly guided.

Until he leaves it, is misguided.
