من كانَ في الدينِ نوراً يُستضاء بهِ

من كانَ في الدينِ نوراً يُستضاء بهِ

وكان من جهلِها بالعلمِ شافيها

وكان من جهلِها بالعلمِ شافيها

He who was a light in the faith, by which illumination was sought,

Whoever was a light in religion to be illuminated by

And with knowledge healed her of her ignorance.

And was with his knowledge a healer of its ignorance

كان النبيُّ بوحيِ اللهِ مُنذِرَها

كان النبيُّ بوحيِ اللهِ مُنذِرَها

وكان ذا بعدَه لا شكّ هادِيها

وكان ذا بعدَه لا شكّ هادِيها

The Prophet, through God's revelation, was her warner,

Was the Prophet, warning it with God's revelation

And this one, after him, was without doubt her guide.

And was after him, no doubt, its guide
