O man and woman who reproach me for love,

You have both gone too far in blame and reproach.

Enough! Do not reproach me over Abu Hasan,

For I am not distracted from loving him.

A master for whom love dwells between my ribs:

Even if the firmly rooted mountains vanished, it would not vanish.

If I should take a replacement after him,

Then may I find no joy in that replacement.
