Sol 6.1

  1. امدَح أبا عبدِ الإل

    هِ فتى البريّةِ في احتمالِهْ

    Praise Abu Abd al-Ila—

    —h, creation's champion in his forbearance.

  2. سبطُ النبيِّ محمدٍ

    حبلُ تَفرَّعَ من حِبالِهْ

    Grandson of the Prophet Muhammad,

    a cord that branched from his cords.

  3. تَغشى العيونُ الناظراتُ

    إذا سمونَ إلى جَلالِهْ

    Gazing eyes grow dim

    when they rise toward his majesty.

  4. عذبُ المواردِ بحرُه

    يُروي الخلائقَ من سِجالِهْ

    His sea has sweet watering places;

    it quenches all creatures' thirst from its full buckets.

  5. بحرُ أَطلّ على البَحور

    يُمدّهن نَدى بِلالِهْ

    A sea towering above the seas;

    the dew of his bounty replenishes them.

  6. سَقتِ العبادَ يمينُه

    وسقى البلادَ ندى شِمالِهْ

    His right hand has given mankind drink,

    and the dew of his left hand has watered the lands.

  7. يَحكي السحابَ يمينُه

    والودقُ يَخرج من خِلالِهْ

    His right hand resembles the clouds,

    and rain comes forth from its midst.

  8. الأرضُ ميراثٌ له

    والناسُ طُرّاً في عِيالِهْ

    The earth is his inheritance,

    and all people are among his dependents.

  9. يا حجةَ اللهِ الجليل

    لِ وعينَه وزعيمَ آلِهْ

    O proof of God the Sublime—

    —and his eye, and leader of his household,

  10. وابنَ الوصيِ المُرْتَضى

    وشبيهَ أحمدَ في كَمالِهْ

    and son of the chosen successor,

    and Ahmad's likeness in his perfection.

  11. أنت ابن بنتِ محمدٍ

    حَذواً خُلقتَ على مِثالِهْ

    You are the son of Muhammad's daughter;

    you were created exactly in his likeness.

  12. فضياءُ نُورِكَ نُورُه

    وظلالُ رُوحِكَ من ظِلالِهْ

    So the radiance of your light is his light,

    and the shadows of your spirit are from his shadows.

  13. فيكَ الخلاصُ عن الرَّدى

    وبكَ الهِدايةُ من ضَلالِهْ

    In you is deliverance from perdition,

    and through you, guidance out of its error.

  14. أُثني ولستُ ببالِغٍ

    عشرَ الفَريدةِ من خِصالِهْ

    I offer praise, yet do not reach

    a tenth of a single peerless virtue of his.
