وإن مسيَري من ذُراكَ ضرورةٌ

وإن مسيَري من ذُراكَ ضرورةٌ

ولولا اضطراري ما رضيتُ بذلِكا

ولولا اضطراري ما رضيتُ بذلِكا

And my departure from your heights is a necessity;

My journey from you is out of necessity

And were I not compelled, I would not have consented to that.

And were it not for being compelled, I would not have accepted it

وما رِحلتي إلاّ تُبَشِّرُ عاجِلاً

وما رِحلتي إلاّ تُبَشِّرُ عاجِلاً

بأنّي أُقيمُ الدهرَ تحتَ ظِلالِكا

بأنّي أُقيمُ الدهرَ تحتَ ظِلالِكا

And my journey only brings glad tidings, without delay,

And I did not set out except to give good news soon

That I shall dwell forever beneath your shade.

That I will reside forever in your shade
