An ambition that butts the Pleiades, and a resolve

Aspiration that butts against the Pleiades, and might

prophetic, that makes the mountains quake;

Prophetic, shaking the mountains;

وعطاءٌ إذا تأخَّرَ عنه

وعطاءٌ إذا تأخَّرَ عنه

سائِلوه اقتضاهُمُ استعجالا

سائِلوه اقتضاهُمُ استعجالا

and bounty—if from it there tarry

And bounty that, when there is delay in seeking it,

its petitioners—demands that they make haste.
