لعنَ اللهُ والديَّ جميعاً

One morning, as they performed the dawn prayer, they decreed

لعنا خيرَ من مشى فوقَ ظهرِ

الأرضِ أوطاف مَحرماً بالحَطيمِ

Both cursed the best of all who ever walked upon the face

Both fell into unbelief when they reviled the Family of God’s Messenger,

the offspring of the pure, infallible one,

والوصيَّ الذي به تَثبت الأرضُ

والوصيَّ الذي به تَثبت الأرضُ

ولولاه دُكدكت كالرَّميمِ

ولولاه دُكدكت كالرَّميمِ

and the Legatee through whom the earth stands firm—

and the appointed successor, through whom the earth stands firm;

but for him, it would be crushed like crumbling remains—

and without him it would be crushed like decayed remains.

وكذا آله أولو العلمِ والفهمِ

وكذا آله أولو العلمِ والفهمِ

هداةٌ إلى الصِراط القويمِ

هداةٌ إلى الصِراط القويمِ

and likewise his family, possessors of knowledge and understanding,

And likewise his family, possessors of knowledge and understanding,

guides unto the straight path,

guides to the straight path,

خلفاءُ الإله في الخلقِ بالعدلِ

خلفاءُ الإله في الخلقِ بالعدلِ

وبالقِسط عندَ ظُلمِ الظَلومِ

وبالقِسط عندَ ظُلمِ الظَلومِ

God’s vicegerents among creation, through justice

and equity against the oppression of the arch-oppressor.

صلواتُ الإله تَترى عليهم

صلواتُ الإله تَترى عليهم

مُقرناتٌ بالرَّحْبِ والتَسْلِيمِ

May God’s blessings follow one another upon them,

God's blessings come upon them in succession,

joined with gracious welcome and salutation.
