شهدتُ وما شهدتُ بغير حقٍّ

شهدتُ وما شهدتُ بغير حقٍّ

بأنّ اللهَ ليس بذي شبيهِ

بأنّ اللهَ ليس بذي شبيهِ

I have borne witness, and not without truth,

I bear witness, and I bear witness with the truth

that God has no equal.

That God has no equal

نُحِبُّ محمداً ونحبُّ فيه

نُحِبُّ محمداً ونحبُّ فيه

بني أبنائِه وبَني أبيهِ

بني أبنائِه وبَني أبيهِ

We love Muhammad, and for his sake we love

We love Muhammad and through him

the sons of his sons and the sons of his father.

We love his sons and his father's sons

فَأَبْشِر بالشفاعةِ غيرَ شكٍّ

فَأَبْشِر بالشفاعةِ غيرَ شكٍّ

من المُوصى إليه ومن بَنيهِ

من المُوصى إليه ومن بَنيهِ

So rejoice in intercession, without a doubt,

So rejoice in the intercession without doubt

from the appointed successor and from his sons.

From the one entrusted and from his sons

فإنّ اللهَ يقبلُ كلُّ قولٍ

فإنّ اللهَ يقبلُ كلُّ قولٍ

يُدانُ به الوصيُّ ويَرتضيهِ

يُدانُ به الوصيُّ ويَرتضيهِ

For God accepts every utterance

For God accepts every saying

through which the appointed successor is obeyed and which he approves.

In which the trustee acquiesces and approves
