أُفقَ السماءِ بما حوتْ من أنجم
Whoever seeks to have his palm rival
Whoever wishes that his palm would rival
the sky’s horizon with the stars it holds,
The horizon of the sky and its myriad stars

أَرْمِI shall shoot العداthe foes بشهابِwith a meteor قَدْحٍstriking fire مضرمblazing
أَرْمِ العدا بشهابِ قَدْحٍ مضرم
let his two palms not be empty of me in battle;
Let not his hands rest in the tumult
I shall shoot the foes with a blazing meteor of struck fire.
Strike the enemy with flaming arrows
فأناfor I التيthe one whose تحكيresemble الهلالَthe crescent معاطفيmy curves
فأنا التي تحكي الهلالَ معاطفي
وأناand I التيthe one whose تحكيresemble الكواكبَthe stars أسهميmy arrows
وأنا التي تحكي الكواكبَ أسهمي
For I am the one whose curves resemble the crescent,
For I am she who relates the crescent in my cloak
and I am the one whose arrows resemble the stars.
And I am she who relates the stars in my arrows
