ثَنَتْنيturned me away عنكَfrom you فاستشعرْتُso I felt هَجراًestrangement
ثَنَتْني عنكَ فاستشعرْتُ هَجراً
خِلالٌtraits فيكَin you لستُI am not لهاwith them بِرَاضيpleased
خِلالٌ فيكَ لستُ لها بِرَاضي
I was turned away from you, and so felt estrangement,
You turned me from you, so I felt abandonment
By traits in you with which I am not pleased,
There is something wrong with you, I'm not pleased with it
وأنَّكَand that you كلَّماwhenever استُودِعْتَyou are entrusted with سِرّاًa secret
وأنَّكَ كلَّما استُودِعْتَ سِرّاً
أَنَمُّmore prone to betraying secrets منthan النَّسيمِthe breeze علىover الرِّياضِthe gardens
أَنَمُّ من النَّسيمِ على الرِّياضِ
And by the fact that, whenever you are entrusted with a secret,
And whenever you're entrusted with a secret
You are more of a talebearer than the breeze over the gardens.
I sleep more soundly than the breeze upon the gardens
