غدتhas come to حالناour condition تثنيpraises بحسنfor the goodness of صنيعهhis deed
غدت حالنا تثني بحسن صنيعه
وهلand does يكتمwithhold الروضthe meadow الثناءpraise علىfor القطرthe rain
وهل يكتم الروض الثناء على القطر

Roses bloomed in the garden, praising the falling rain
And does the meadow withhold its praise of the rain?
The meadow cannot hide, its thanks for the sweet refrain
