وكثيرة الأحداق إلا أنها

وكثيرة الأحداق إلا أنها

عمياء ما لم تنغمس في ماء

عمياء ما لم تنغمس في ماء

And it has many eyes, yet it is

With many eyes yet blind is she

blind unless it is immersed in water.

Unless immersed in holy sea

وإذا هي انغمست أفادت ربها

وإذا هي انغمست أفادت ربها

ما لا ينال بأعين البصراء

ما لا ينال بأعين البصراء

And when it is immersed, it gives its owner

When dipped, to her Creator she

what cannot be obtained with the eyes of the sighted.
