The sash of the woman I loved said to me,
The scarf of my beloved said to me
And it was indeed truthful in its words:
And it spoke truthfully in what it said

قد ضاع مني الخصر لما انثنت

“Her waist was lost to me when she swayed;
My waist was lost when she bent
Do you not see me circling in distress?”
Don't you see me wandering in distress
