أخو الجود يغرى ببذل النذل

أخو الجود يغرى ببذل النذل

فإن لج في كرم لججا

فإن لج في كرم لججا

The generous man is spurred on by the base man's giving.

The generous man is tempted to give freely

And if he persists in generosity, he plunges into deep waters.

If he plunges into generosity, he plunges deeply

ويفتح باب الرجا للورى

ويفتح باب الرجا للورى

فيغدو على فتحه مرتجى

فيغدو على فتحه مرتجى

And he opens the door of hope for humankind,

And opens the door of hope for mankind

so, through opening it, he becomes one in whom hope is placed.

So they come to his open door hopefully
