للهby God كمhow much قدindeed عزbecame scarce فيover
لله كم قد عز في
كyou عزاًconsolation وحزناand we gained فيكover you حزناsorrow
ك عزاً وحزنا فيك حزنا
By God, how hard it has become, over
By God, how much glory was in you
You, to find consolation; and over you we have gained sorrow.
