O pearl that I laid in the earth,
O pearl I buried in the sand
And O crescent that vanished when it became a full moon,
O crescent that disappeared, though it glowed bright
قدindeed ذابmelted قلبيmy heart فجرىand so it flowed أدمعاًtears
قد ذاب قلبي فجرى أدمعاً
يغسلit washes منfrom جفنيmy eyelid بقاياremnants الكرىslumber
يغسل من جفني بقايا الكرى
My heart has melted and flowed as tears,
My heart has melted and tears flow
Washing the remnants of slumber from my eyelid.
