بالصبر ينتصر العاني وينتصف
O heart, do not ask forgetfulness for compassion.
O heart, do not ask tenderness of the indifferent one
Through patience, the captive triumphs and gains redress.
With patience the sufferer is victorious and avenged
ولاand do not ترومنever seek منfor ريمgazelle الحمىthe sanctuary بدلاًa substitute
ولا ترومن من ريم الحمى بدلاً

فسوف تنكسف البلوى وتنكشف
And never seek a substitute for the gazelle of the sanctuary.
Do not expect affection from the cold beloved
So affliction will be eclipsed and lifted.
Soon hardships will fade away and truth revealed
