فأصبح في عطفي هزة نشوانِ
I delighted in a glance at the beloved’s face,
I was graced by a glance from my beloved's face
and in my sides arose the sway of one intoxicated.
Causing rapture to course through my being

So do not deny my drunkenness at seeing him, for I
Do not deny my intoxication on seeing him
was given love’s intoxicating ardor to drink by the palm of my eye’s pupil.
For love’s fever has given my humanity respite
