1. قضى على أدمعي بسفح

    يقضى به في دمي بسفكِ

    He sentenced my tears to be shed;

    thereby, my blood is sentenced to be spilled.

  2. وشك قلبي برمح قد

    قد فؤادي بغير شك

    And he pierced my heart with the spear of his stature,

    which cleft my heart without a doubt.
