يقابل بدر التم منه بطلعةٍ

هي البدر لكن حسنها منه اشهر
He faces the full moon with his countenance,
The full moon rises to face it with a smile,
It is the full moon, yet its beauty is more renowned than the moon itself.
Though it's the moon, its beauty comes from Him.
وفيand on خدهhis cheek وردٌroses وفيand in الروضthe garden مثلهtheir like
وفي خده وردٌ وفي الروض مثله
ولكنbut ماwhat تحتbeneath النواظرthe eyes أنضرfresher
ولكن ما تحت النواظر أنضر
And on his cheek are roses, and in the garden their like,
On His cheek a rose, and the garden holds its like,
But what lies beneath the eyes is fresher.
But what's beneath His gaze is yet more green.
