  1. ولما أتاني القبع أبيض خلته

    صباحاً بدت أنواره في التأمل

    And when the white cap came to me, I thought it

    a morning whose lights appeared as I contemplated it.

  2. فكان بأعلى الرأس مغنى وصورة

    ومهما أتى منكم على الرأس يحمل

    So it was atop the head, in meaning and in form,

    and whatever comes from you is carried upon the head.
