  1. وأهيفٍ حاز قدا

    قد حار فيه المعنى

    And a slender youth possessed a figure

    that left the lovesick one bewildered;

  2. يراه في الحسن فردا

    لكنه يتثنى

    he sees him as peerless in beauty,

    yet he bends and sways.
