دنياكyour world كالحمامlike a bathhouse لاnot تقتضىyou obtain
دنياك كالحمام لا تقتضى
نعيمهاits bliss إلاexcept بنارthrough the fire of الجحيمHell
نعيمها إلا بنار الجحيم
Your world is like a bathhouse: you cannot obtain
Your life is like a pigeon, it requires
its bliss except through the fire of Hell.
Its blessings only by hellfire.
فاستغنso be content بالخلوةwith solitude إنif كنتyou are ذاpossessed of
فاستغن بالخلوة إن كنت ذا
رأيsound judgment ولاand do not تستدعsummon فيهاin it حميمa close friend
رأي ولا تستدع فيها حميم
So be content with solitude, if you possess
So be content with solitude if you are
sound judgment, and summon no close friend into it.
A man of reason, and don't yearn for an intimate there.
