بأيدي رياح الجو حين تبين
As though the sand dunes, when rippled
As if the sand dunes gradually formed
by the hands of the winds aloft, as they appear,
By the hands of the winds when it becomes clear

were a clear white brow of one of the Romans,
A white, distinct brow for some of the Romans
and the ripples the wind made upon it were branches.
And the winds did not entwine branches within it
