  1. كم لي على أعطافه ضمةً

    دخلت منها جنةً عاليه

    How many embraces I have clasped around his sides,

    through which I entered a lofty paradise!

  2. وكم ترشفت له مبسماً

    نكهته أرخصت الغاليه

    And how often I have sipped at his smiling mouth,

    whose breath made ghāliyah perfume seem cheap.
