وذيand many a man with شبقٍlust ماnot زالceased يتبعpursuing الخناlewdness
وذي شبقٍ ما زال يتبع الخنا
إذاwhenever دارroamed فيin ديرٍa monastery وحلand lodged in رباطاa religious retreat
إذا دار في ديرٍ وحل رباطا
And many a lustful man never ceased pursuing lewdness,
With desire that still pursues the beloved,
whenever he roamed a monastery and lodged in a religious retreat.

وكمand how often ساقَhe drove فيin الظلماءthe darkness والنجمand the star شاهدٌa witness
وكم ساقَ في الظلماء والنجم شاهدٌ
رواحلriding camels واطٍof one who copulates فيat الرواحevening لواطاfor sodomy
رواحل واطٍ في الرواح لواطا
