بفيك ولا تبخل وقل لي هي الخمر
Ah, give me a sip of the sweet-tasting saliva
Come, let me drink deep of your sweet lips,
In your mouth; do not be stingy, and tell me it is wine.
Do not be stingy, say they are as wine,
وحطand lower لثاماa face veil حجبbarred اللثمkissing عنfrom فميmy mouth
وحط لثاما حجب اللثم عن فمي
فلاfor there is no خيرgood فيin اللذاتpleasures منfrom دونهاbefore them سترُa veil
فلا خير في اللذات من دونها سترُ
And lower the veil that has kept kisses from my mouth,
Draw down your veil and speak not but through your kiss,
For there is no good in pleasures with a veil in the way.
For without modesty where is delight?
