لا تبتلى فيهم بهم وضير

Abandon love of the Turks if you wish to

Not be afflicted, on their account, with worry and harm.

ولا ترج الجود من وصلهم

ولا ترج الجود من وصلهم

ما ضاقت الأعين منهم لخير

ما ضاقت الأعين منهم لخير

And do not expect generosity from union with them;

It was not for any good that their eyes grew narrow.
