He greeted me with a face that has no equal,

With a face that has no equal

except the countenance of the moon when full.

Save the full moon in its perfection

بالله لا يسمع بشما قلته

فإن هذا هجوه والسلام

فإن هذا هجوه والسلام

By God, let him not hear of what I said,

By God, do not listen to what I said

for this is mockery of him—and peace.

For this is mere folly, peace
