He has an eye that has left my very soul
He has an eye that has left me with a heart
wandering in passion, while tears from its lids stream down;
That wanders in love, and eyelids whose tears stream.

توفر سقمي أو تصيب مقاتلي
فلاso no بدescape ليfor me فيin ذاthis وذلكand that منfrom سهمan arrow; a share
فلا بد لي في ذا وذلك من سهم
it deepens my sickness, or strikes my vital spots—
It deepens my sickness or strikes my vital parts;
so in this and in that, an arrow must be my lot.
So, in either case, I cannot escape an arrow.
