تأنق الحسن حين صوره ال

له فجاءَ الجمال فيه نسق

له فجاءَ الجمال فيه نسق

Beauty took exquisite care when he was fashioned by

Beauty adorned itself when God portrayed it

God; thus beauty in him emerged in harmonious order.

So perfection of beauty took shape

وشعره فوق غصنِ قامته

وشعره فوق غصنِ قامته

رمى على ذلك القضيب ورق

رمى على ذلك القضيب ورق

And his hair, above the branch of his stature,

And his hair above the branch of his stature

Cast leaves upon that slender stem.

Threw leaves over that rod
