ذو راحةٍ في الجود لم أعرف لها
شبهاa likeness فأجعلso I might make ذاكthat ندa rival to نداهاits bounty
شبها فأجعل ذاك ند نداها
He has a palm for which, in generosity, I have found
One at ease with generosity whom I do not find
no likeness to make a rival to its bounty.
An equal and so I make that his glory.
لكنbut أقولI say إذاwhen اختصرتI speak briefly بأنهاthat it
